Removing it. It's tightly soldered with 6 pads. If i try hard, im afraid i will overheat the pcb. An alternative solution would be breaking the dual pot casing and be able to desolder and pull off each pin, but im not sure it's doable ?

it's a very long shot but i'd suggest to carefully check all capacitors values, maybe you misread a value on a part somewhere. Could easily also be a bad soldering joint that looks perfect. In that case, i guess you'll need to audioprobe the signal path and see where the treble loss happens.

I tried my Dandy Horse build with various instruments, like synthetizers, guitars, bass, and never noticed any treble loss, even by itself.

you can also check the name of the member who did the relay bypass on his build and ping him with @. Just type @ then the first letters of his name, and click on his name in the list that will pop up.

I guess you could also have wired your pots, to be able to get the pcb away from the DC powerjack, and keep your first enclosure ? with pots connected with wires, the pcb would be less stable, but you can use some piece of foam, plastic or cardboard to keep it steady in the closed enclosure.

If you're sure about the pinout, it could be a bad soldering joint on Q1 or one of the components connected to it. Did you try to reflow the soldering pads in the aera ? You can also do some continuity tests, touching the transistors legs and the leg of the next component in the circuit...
