Note: I modified mine slightly with a 3.3k upon 4.7k for a bit more gain/ a 150nf and 220nf metal film cap instead of the tantalum and a silver mica 47pf instead of the original 51pf ceramic. The 100k in my pic was original though. I drew the trace of the zener too.

I checked mine, ser.nr: gun0897 and the "SHO" zener does make a ground connection. It's a "V1" big enclosure but the pcb states "V2.1" so that leads me to believe there are some previous revisions done. I tried to trace the "missing" zener and found it to be in a loop with the 100R resistor...

Got the 35v caps. This is a great pedal and I seem to dig it most at 24v as a boost on low mode. It brings a presence to my sound with a bit of grit that's usable with clean or overdrive sound. Still experimenting with the gain trimmers and my stash of telefunken/rca/Phillips and mullard...

Thnx, i think I'll just leave out the 1054 ic out first then, got no more 35v or 50v lying around but i really want to finish it and hear it. I figure when switching with no voltage doubler present in the circuit, but the 5817 diodes all present might give some interesting results as well 😅

How essential is it to have all electrolytic caps in the Duocast rated at 35+ volts? Are there any that don't require that rating? Especially the 330uf. And is it possible to modify the charge pump to 18v? By removal of a 5817 ? Noob.. i know..

Build a bufferless tubescreamer with a zvex SHO in 1 box and run them in series to a shared master volume. That's what a Gunshot basically is 😉
