I had a little Peavey 2x8 stereo amp that had every effect imaginable along with about 50 presets. HAD to have been one of the first of its kind. This was like ‘94 but I had complete Floyd songs dialed into that thing. Couldn’t pay me to attempt to do that in today’s menu diving.

I’m sure I will one day. I haven’t mastered the jfet yet or even built out my test boards to get their measurements

Peavey was built out of Meridian, Ms if I recall correctly…mainly served us in the Mississippi Delta. In other words Peavey was built for the poor lol.

I think the jfets have to be spot on for this to sound like the original. Which is why I haven’t built one!

Only thing I have left from that particular board is the damn volume pedal. 😂 I have different versions or clones of several of them but it isn’t the same

I wanna say I ended using a 1N5239B but can’t remember for sure. If that helps.

I opted for the Box and All (Tone Job) for my end of chain boost/EQ pedal but haven’t built it yet. I’ve always like the micro amp though as well DOD’s Bi-FET Booster but it has no EQ.

Wow your Brunken Blue looks several shades lighter than the one I got.

I found it to be really overrated even with my Vox style amp. It’s fun to play for a few minutes but it isn’t very versatile.

Figured there’d be more interest in this cause the Rat has never seemed like a finished product to me. Useable but much more potential.
