Something like this is what i had in mind: Rotary Encoder

Wah Inductors. No hype. Just measurements.

On your automatic pot tester, what about using a digital encoder to determine shaft angle? An encoder puts out pulses as it rotates. Stepper motors with feedback use these for the feedback. Using one by itself may be easier to program (I'm not a programmer, just going on the theory of less...

    Heat Shrink Tubing on Capacitors

Many of the labels on these are actually heat shrink. I agree with what @Nostradoomus just posted.

anyone ever look at power supply voltages with a scope

For tube amp pwr supplies an LC filter typically is used, have you tried an inductor in conjunction with a cap? For 60hz ripple 3-4mH coil with ~100uF cap before coil and 20-30uF after. Or perhaps a ferrite bead for the HF noise in the last two pics posted?

anyone ever look at power supply voltages with a scope

Try putting a filter cap on to see the effect. 10u to 100u should be good. Electrolytic between v+ and ground.

Can I tent/combine any of these values to make 750R?

Oh sure, bring up reading comprehension again. Minor technicality 🫲🧐🫱

Can I tent/combine any of these values to make 750R?

Well...if you take four 750Ω resistors, put two in series, the other two in series (each = 1500Ω). Then put each of these in parallel you're back to 750Ω. Do this as many times as you wish, how many resistors do you want to use? In multiples of 4 of course... Hmmmm yet another exciting...

Can I tent/combine any of these values to make 750R?

Uh, yeah, that's it. Lack of sleep. No longer partake so can't use that one. A bit of salt for the wound? You guys are ruthless LOL

Too funny  Kinda wishing I had done more than look at the picture....

Ummm, not to be picky but that picture is only 477 ohms....:poop::eek:

Do you prefer lead or lead-free solder?

I use Solder with Silver for increased strength. Not sure it conducts any different than standard solder. It's pricey but I only build for myself so i dont go through too much. If i were to start building for others i would get some 63/37 water soluable flux core. I might get some anyway...

Do you prefer lead or lead-free solder?

I've been using leaded solder for nearly 40 years and am just too stubborn to change!

Why am I blowing out LEDs?

In a PTP build i would put the CLR as physically near the 9vdc source as practical. Reason being wiring is more likely to touch a ground than 9vdc. On a PCB I think the physical layout of the board is the determining factor of where it actually is in the circuit. I agree from a circuit's...

Bypass Caps: Film or Ceramic (MLCC)

My guess is that it may have been the type of cap used in the original pedal, but I'm curious too. Only the person that wrote the BOM would know for sure. What pedal? Maybe ask the question and flag Robert if it's one of his.

    Silicone Topcoat Wire - Exists?

Any particular reason not to use single strand/solid core, @jwin615 already mentioned some. I use 22awg solid extensively in my pedals, 20awg solid in my amps. VERY easy to work with. I use it with PVC insulation but am used to it. Not sure if it's available with Silicon. A word about...

Bypass Caps: Film or Ceramic (MLCC)

I've spent many, perhaps TOO many, hours reading posts about various components and where to use what. Here's my thoughts on capacitors: IMHO there are only a handful of hard and fast rules pertaining to Capacitors as used in pedals. 1. Never exceed rated voltage 2. Pay attention to polarity...
