I'd built this a while ago and never got around to boxing it up until now. It's really simple, weird, and definitely a DBA circuit. More useful than some weird circuits cause you can actually get a usable fuzz on some settings and not just weird noises... not that there is anything wrong with that.

I can't believe you'd post such a terrible build, guess you'll need to build it again and get it perfect. Just kidding, great work! Love the artwork too. Sometimes simple is best.

If anything you can run the input and output on different edges of the pcb. I've noticed that even with my worst designs (aka first ones) I haven't had any problems with the traces causing oscillation or interference. I suppose I could go dig out my engineering books and look it up.. but where...

I really like the Si Fuzz Faces with higher gain but the Ge Fuzz Faces I've really enjoyed going the opposite direction with low gain hFE in the 50-70 range for both.

For the Ge diode, any Ge diode should be fine. I believe, based on my googling, that the CG92H IS equivalent to an OA95 and has a Vf of about .4v at 1mA. So a D9G or D9K should work and they're easy to find on eBay or StompBoxParts. I'm sure you could use another diode type (Si, Schottky, or...

For full on crude I suggest Trouser Snake with the volume labeled as load.

Love the sound and board but for naming, you could have leveraged any number of names of the original one eyed monster and kept with the SHO theme by listening to Monty Python's Isn't it Nice... maybe I need to build this and go Monty Python themed...
