Yep, it's where I get mine. I've got a cache of at least 60 right now, so I'm going to be good for a while. I use these in any circuit that uses 1N4148/1N914s for clipping. Don't think I'm going back.

Well, I kinda take that back. I just checked my supply and I still have 6 with a wide band similar to that. But the color is a little darker and the band is further on the end of the diode, almost like a cap. The band on those in your pic almost looks flared out on the end.

Can't say for sure, but man, that blue band looks thicker/wider than any of the 1588s I have on hand.

Thanks guys. I'll give @BuddytheReow 's method a shot, then might try the Stops Rust variants. I've got enough half-used (if even that) spray paint cans in my house & garage to start a mini museum, and my OCD won't let it go.

Are you doing the coats (immediately) back-to-back, or waiting some time interval between?

The HF-2 is really good and criminally underrated. I'd say it's kinda like a mix of 50-60% BF-2 and 40-50% Mistress. Playing a BF-2 back-to-back with the HF-2, the latter gets a better 'Cure' sound, IMO. I've got an HF-2 build in the works that I hope to get finished, someday. :)

Agreed. And I've made up my mind that I'm going to go this route. I want a STOCK VRH, Red Army OD and/or Triangle Muff, but with some increases in mids on tap.

I'm fine with added complexity (the CE-5 is just one more knob than the CH-1). I'll have to compare the schematics a little more - I'm after whichever one is more 'lush'.

Can anyone chime in on the (analog versions of the) Boss CE-5 vs CH-1? I've got a PCB worked out for the main board of the CE-5, but also working on a CH-1. I will almost certainly do the depth mod on the CE-5. Just curious if one is a richer/fuller chorusing over the other? It's always puzzled...

Or is it the overall architecture & transistors used which give a particular version its sound? Thinking in terms of Green Russian vs Triangle vs Violet Ram's Head, etc. In short, is the particular tone stack config the KEY, or is that only a small part of it?
