First amp build, codename “Heavyweight Champ”. In progress.

Thanks for the advice and encouraging words @CanadianDave. I do indeed know that feeling when the ends break off the wire! I like your idea for validating continuity.

Corroder, Chop Shop, Range Finder, Red Herring - 1590B

After a long-awaited Tayda order came right before the weekend, I was back to building. These boards were all mostly populated a while back. Here’s some dirt that has a positive reputation in the forum. Red Herring (Menatone Red Snapper) I like this one a lot. The EQ interplay between the cut...

    Pedal trio for trumpet player

Those look great. Octarock on a trumpet is a good idea. As far as signal chains, I used to jam with a sax player that used a deluxe memory man. He went: Sennheiser 421 -> Shure lo-z to high-z transformer -> pedals -> Mesa-Boogie Bass Rig

Who's down for some SMD layouts?

Yeah, it’s big. But that’s by design- it’s kind of a starter SMD project. If you do go down the path of shaving down the sides, do yourself a favor and get the Cusack 1590B. The walls are thinner and it has a little more room. That’s what I used to shove the Spirit Box in a 1590B

First Pedal, First Build (Muroidea Distortion)

That’s cool that you used sockets for the diodes. Toss in red LEDs, turbo rat. Toss in germanium, fat rat. Take ‘em out, clean rat.

First Pedal, First Build (Muroidea Distortion)

Very nice! Welcome! I like your art. The rat was on of my first builds, still one of my favorite pedals.

Vol on Left. Just looks more correct to me. I say that as a southpaw.

    PSA: diy yer utilities

Nothing special here. I have two amps, and I want to control the spring reverb on both. So here’s a super basic stomp for that. It took like 10 minutes, including drilling and warming up the iron. White washers ‘cause why not. Using up one of my last trash tayda black stomps.

Can I combine relay modules for more poles?

Maybe? Not sure I can do that without reprogramming. The only use I’ve seen for those pads is putting multiple relays on the same control bus to ensure all other switches on the buss switch off if you enable one.

Can I combine relay modules for more poles?

The obvious answer to me would be to just hook up two relay modules to the same switch. I could probably mess with that. I just don’t know if I’ll have synchronization or debouncing issues, etc… I’ll report back here if I test this.

Can I combine relay modules for more poles?

I'm wondering what it would take to have an order switcher controlled by a relay.

    DEMO Lowballer xl

Super cool. The lowballer is in my current batch and I have a start on it. But rethinking the enclosure because those resonance knobs are great.
