That's probably good advice in general, but not sure it applies to the topic of Effects Layouts PCBs.

I can assure that the tones are not more burly than I would normally use! Very often when considering a preamp/OD/distortion build I ask the question, "Will it doom?!" If the answer is no, I probably won't build it. However I might be concerned about losing too many low end frequencies.

It's worth trying out. Just replace C6 and R10 with 47u and 220r components. I didn't have those exact values in my parts bin but I made it work with similar values.
