Please explain rotary switch wiring to me

Please explain rotary switch wiring to me

Looking for a 2P3T rotary. I’ve been looking at the Alpha SR2511 but this data sheet doesn’t have the pin out

Please explain rotary switch wiring to me

I’m working on putting a 3-way rotary switch into my bass for series/parallel/mute(kill) and I cannot find a clean explanation of how to wire a rotary switch. I also can’t tell if I need a 2p3t or a 3p3t but I think that is because I don’t understand how they operate (meaning what pins are...

    Help identifying coupling caps

I haven’t played the Lime Aid but in my experience, the PulpnN Peel cut off is around 80-100hz I’d like to get it lower for sure

Just wanted confirmation. I tried to research it on my own but wanted to be confident. Guess I’ll be using sockets!

    Help identifying coupling caps

The Lime Aid is a modified Pulp N Peel. They use the same board. According to Josh Scott, the main difference is the value of the coupling caps.

    Help identifying coupling caps

I have 2 Citrus Press (JHS Pulp n Peel) boards from Effects Layouts. I am going to build one as stock but I would like to build the other as a the “Lime Aid” version. Josh Scott mentioned on a Facebook post that the only difference is the coupling caps. I know that increasing the value will...

    Simple relay.. relay question

Hypothetically, if you were being particularly careless and installed a relay meant for the Non-latching simple relay bypass into a Latching simple relay bypass board, would it still function? Thanks!

    Discrete Opamps from Orange

Low power being the key here. I think its a general consensus that ICs are not great for anything producing a lot of heat, such as pushing a lot of watts to a speaker. The discrete stages allow for the heat to be spread out more evenly.

    Discrete Opamps from Orange

This is an old thread, but it might be worth mentioning for anyone who comes across this thread - Discrete stages are believed to have better audio quality by most HiFi aficionados. This probably isn't the case with guitar effects. But discrete stages will almost always be considered better...

Crate V33 head powering issue (gut shots included)

No blown fuses and everything appeared to be in place. I supplied a link in a post above which has detailed photos of the amp including all of the fuses.

Crate V33 head powering issue (gut shots included)

I very much appreciate that advice. I’m tempted to look at it and test it, but I think I should plan to replace the power supply with an old school type. If I wanted to do that, can you tell from the schematic what the specs should be? I see the 330v for the power tubes. So, I’m guessing it...

Crate V33 head powering issue (gut shots included)

Is the laugh in sarcasm or because the thought of trying to fix the stock PSU is comical? Lol Even if it is difficult, I think a linear power supply would be the solution for long term reliability
