Awesome Thank you thank you Since you were able to decipher the layout I'm gonna go ahead and wire like you say later today Really appreciate everyone's time . Really, very cool of you all to sacrifice your time to help out with other peoples builds. Fingers crossed One more kinda dumb...

    Solar Chug lite wiring question

Pedal is stuffed, pots and jacks wired up, everything but the bypass switch I did this layout https://dirtboxlayouts.blogspot.com/2025/07/solar-guitars-chug-lite.html?sc=1753678096700#c841080721134874214 from this schematic https://forum.pedalpcb.com/attachments/1000007278-gif.99100/ On...

DIFFERENT VOLTAGE READINGS ON THE SAME PART?

I'm troubleshooting a couple of PT2399 circuits one is the sagan delay the other aleph null special sauce. The Sagan passes only clean signal. and all pt2399 are getting 5.78v. I know the 2399's are supposed to get 5v (the " I know" part is an idiot telling you HE knows something and he just...

    CD4069UB Question

Recently re-built an Emma ReeZaFratzitz again . Its been a few years . As with transistors and their varied variables does this apply to IC chips also. Cause I remember my first build being a screaming distortion but this sounds a bit .....less. Are there variations within an IC chips...

    Byzantium Question #4

Problem pretty much solved. found I had pu 100k instead of 180k for R7 and 220 ohm instead of 220k for R48. now I have some flanging and need to adjust the trimmers. Oh so so very happy.

    Byzantium Question #4

I've completed my build. I can get a mild flange turning the bias trimpot . Trying to set the clock trimmer I do have a DVM with frequency duty cycle setting. Going to the test point I get a reading but after maybe 5 seconds it goes to zero , thinking I moved the probe off tp.1 i check and get a...

    Parts Trading Post

After doing some random reading on this forum I came across a great idea( I think) "I appreciate that! I did pickup those 47u caps a while back from Mouser and just got a bunch of bucket and clock chips from Cabintech. I think I'm ready to go but I'll keep that in mind. It'd be cool to set up a...

    Byzantium Question # 3?

Thank you I did try that . I used a 100nf and 220nf but the added small value did not register when tested just gave the same reading without the smaller value

    Byzantium Question # 3?

AWESOME!!! Thank you very very much. I knew I had a 50/50 shot at being right about the caps and after I posted it thought "Hmmm I should double check myself..................." that's as far as that thought went. Thanks again. I think I'll socket that spot (just to be sure)

    Byzantium Question # 3?

The trimmers , 1 100nf cap and 1 unbelievably problematic .... 5pf cap. I have everthing but the 5 pf cap. What I do have is a couple of options 1 - I have ceramic caps marked 10 that read between 0.072nf to 0.0.052nf on the capacitor setting on my DMM 2 - I have 15pf...

    Byzantium Question # 2

glad to hear that since I had no luck with both the pearl flanger AND the Boss bf-2 which I etched from other's layouts with no luck also the hollis flanger which does'nt sound like a flanger at all to my ears . Thanks for the answer I was hoping to hear and your time given to my question.

    Byzantium Question # 2

I can't seem to find any 25k trimmers for this build ( so far). Can I get away with using a 30 k trim pot? It's the last part I need to complete this one> I wouldn't think there'd be a problem using a 30k since it's a higher rather than lower value. but, .....well that's why I'm here asking...

Is it ok to use tantalums where electrolytics would go, on this build specifically the 1 uf ones?

    another pal m-800 question

Got it . Thank you.. That's what I did. For me, DEFINITELY, a circuit needing much more focus on dialing in the trimmers to getting it to sound right. Tweaking the trimmers ever (EVER!) so slightly will change the sound a bit so I'd go back several times adjusting the trimmers. Mine works ...

    another pal m-800 question

Finally got mine working. Is there a specific order to tune the jfets in?

what type of biasing is this?

Yes the orientation is correct. Any way you could point out the bias resistors to be replaced? And possibly the trimmer values needed ( I know it almost seems like I'm asking you to do it for, me but I'm not I just don't know enough yet to figure it out myself. Thanks for the response and...
