Very nice. How do the leds sound compared to all silicon diodes?

Indeed, it was very tight in there. What can I do? Go back and cover it in heat shrink? Maybe I should have done that🙁

    Substitution for 1N5817

Wait, wait hold on... mount the 1n5817 on a daughter board, and then use mogami cable to route it to the pcb. You know... for tone...

Touché. They all gotta be either top or side mounted jacks. Not a mix! Drives me nuts. I dont like twisting the patch cables. I think most of the branded pedal I own are side mount (boss, ehx, Ibanez) so therefore I build side mount. I'm not as desperate for board space as some y'all 😄...

Thanks. This is my 3rd ppcb build, first time using pcb mount pots. If I had to critique their product, it would be that having all the boards designed with board mounted pots limits the way one can design their pedal. I notice people's builds all look the same. You don't HAVE to mount on the...

I think I understand what you're describing, but that wouldn't have worked here, as the pcb did not fit whatsoever inside the enclosure. You wouldn't be able to get the lid on. I used some 100 grit and spent a good 15 mins sanding down about 1 mm maybe up to 2 mm, from each side. Carefully...

I can't find a single one on the forum. It is possible! I dont like 125b. I discovered that the infamous Dano transparent overdrive v1 sounds fantastic in my jcm 800 studio. Didnt want to pay the bucks for a v2. I dont like mini pedals, so the mxr was out. I sanded down the sides of the...

    Timmy (aka Tommy)

Is that a 1590b? Looks like a tight fit. I will be embarking on this project soon, in a 1590b. I was planning on side mounted jacks. Am I having wishful thinking?

Is it not a ibanez sd-9 sonic distortion? That's what I've heard anyways. Although this uses a diff op amp (not 4558)

    Better Way To Cut Stripboard?

I've used big heavy tin snips for years successfully, but on the Tayda vero, it kind of crumbles it, not so good. So depends on your vero. All the other mentioned techniques work but I liked cutting w these.
