Aligning PedalPCB drill template with Tayda drill template

Yeah the first pedal I made I just painted and drilled myself using the PDF and it came out okay, but obviously there's less ability to fix it up on the fly if Tayda is doing all the drilling and printing so I just wanted to make sure I had it right given the misalignment between the two things...

Aligning PedalPCB drill template with Tayda drill template

Thanks for that. So the vibe I'm getting here is that if you're wanting to use the Tayda drill services and UV printing services (with any hope of the whole thing actually lining up and not having the pedal knobs hanging over text/artwork) then the PedalPCB drill template PDF isn't really...

Aligning PedalPCB drill template with Tayda drill template

Hi all, everyone else seems to wrap their head around this stuff more easily than me judging by the forums. I'm trying to work out how to line up the PedalPCB drill template with the Tayda drill template for the Chop Shop v2. I've used the Tadya drill template from this post and then mapped...

Steggo Studios Tayda UV Printing Tutorial (Part 1)

Thanks so much for putting this together. But I'm a little confused about one thing. Why is it that you are bringing the PedalPCB drill template PDF into photoshop first? Couldn't you just open the PedalPCB drill template (e.g. https://docs.pedalpcb.com/project/ChopShopV2-PedalPCB.pdf) in...

Tayda UV printing - what counts as white?

Thanks for the examples! That's fantastic detail!

Tayda UV printing - what counts as white?

Thanks everyone. Good to see that my thoughts on the issue weren't a million miles off. It seemed like a really obvious thing until I started reading through the Tayda info and noted it wasn't 100% clarified. Probably just me being a perfectionist, but I'd like to avoid having to send off for a...

SOLVED Sunflower Fuzz - power but no sound

Thanks everyone! After a few solder iron burns and a couple of choice words I was able to get the diode out (ended up having to snip it as suggested) and replace it with a new one and hey presto we have a fuzz face!! Embarrassed to admit that I didn't notice the idiot-proof diagram on the PCB...

SOLVED Sunflower Fuzz - power but no sound

Okay, I guess I know what I'm trying to take apart tonight (it just had to have the pot covering it didn't it?!). Thanks for the help. All very new to me. I've wired up a few guitars before but never had to worry so much about polarity. Looks like I'll be learning the hard way!

SOLVED Sunflower Fuzz - power but no sound

Thanks for the suggestion, but no luck there I'm afraid. Still no signal when the footswitch it turned on, but the signal is fine when the pedal is off. Makes me wonder if it's some type of grounding issue...I've taken the entire thing out of the pedal enclosure in case it was touching the...

Tayda UV printing - what counts as white?

Not yet. I thought I'd check the brains trust here first given Tayda's instructions seemed a bit obtuse to start with.

SOLVED Sunflower Fuzz - power but no sound

The transistors came with the kit I bought from musikding. Haven't tried biasing them as there is no signal at all once the pedal is engaged.

Tayda UV printing - what counts as white?

I've been looking around the internet for a answer to this question with not much success; when it comes to Tayda's UV printing, what counts as white in an artwork? Is it literally only pure white i.e. #FFFFFF, or do off-whites like shown down in the image below count? I understand that white is...

Thanks I spun that around, but no change unfortunately.

SOLVED Sunflower Fuzz - power but no sound

Hi all, Looking for some advice on what I've mucked up here on my first pedal attempt. I'm able to get power (i.e. the LED turns on). However, when I engage the footswitch the guitar signal completely cuts out. Hoping someone can see a simple mistake I've made. The assembly wasn't without...
