How much of an impact would different LEDs make? Eg. red vs. a different color, 3mm vs. 5mm, clear vs. diffused?

Forgive my ignorance but would this pedal allow me to input a mono signal (guitar) and get a stereo panning effect? Are the L and R tremolo effects 180° out of phase from each other? If not, what's the point of this stereo tremolo? Is it just two independent Pendulum Tremolo circuits in one box?
