Hi, I had the same problem as you and i'm about to buy a new switch. I was wondering, did you buy a ON-OFF-ON switch or an ON-ON-ON?? If you bought ON-OFF-ON its possible that you needed ON-ON-ON and that would explain why it sounds like Hall is always on.
