Great idea! I would probably prefer the bread board to be higher in the enclosure so I didn’t have to make my fat fingers work in a tight spot.

Ive used both Kicad and Eagle on Mac and they both work well… i would pick kicad over eagle today seems as eagle will soon been abandonware.

Someone gave me some TO-99 NEC upc156a claiming they are a LM308 eqv.... Worked a treat in my RAT build.

I like the idea of the pre wired tayda connectors... then get a PCB mount male connector, strip the wires on the female prewired harness and solder direct to the DC jack... well thats my theory anyway. Just waiting until I put my next order in to try. Should hopefully be easier than terminating...

sorry to drag up this thread, whats the recommendation with larger capacitor sizes for JLPCB assembly? eg. 4.7uf and above. Stick with thru hole and hand do those? Banks of 1uf capacitors in parallel? I can see some 0803 packages in those sizes but not feeling confident they will be up to the task.
