    SOLVED Crystal drive massive buzz.

The in/out were reversed on the PCB. I ran into the same issue with a Kliche build I just did. I'd recommend trying this with future buzz issues.

SOLVED Kliché Overdrive super clean and perfect on battery....A nightmare buzzing on 9v adapter

The pedal sounds perfect when its run off the 9v battery. I check it with my one spot and I still get signal pass with the effect but a hum/hiss/buzz that renders it unusable. Pedal Pic

Returned to a build and now the gain is gone.

Interesting, I'm definitely going to triple check but there is pretty good space back there and it did the same thing when I had the PCB out of the case. I'm thinking maybe it's the diodes? The clipping in the muff circuit comes from the diodes if I'm not mistaken.

Returned to a build and now the gain is gone.

As far as i can tell it is not. In my experience a ground issue like that would cause no effect...not just less. Has that happened to you?

Returned to a build and now the gain is gone.

I do...I've been tracing the circuit but have yet to find anything helpful, lol......that being said....do you have any tips that might help?

Returned to a build and now the gain is gone.

The sustain knob seems to be doing its job. The volume is just really low. I realized that the volume has to be jacked to have equal volume with rhe dry....and the tone also jacked to have any kind of dirt.

Returned to a build and now the gain is gone.

I built a muffin fuzz, green Russian variety, a couple months back. I was doing some tests and now the gain is gone... Its still kind of loud...but has the gain of a a blues driver. never had this happen...any guesses?

    SOLVED Crystal drive massive buzz.

Just a quick update: I socketed the transistors and it didn't decrease the massive buzz at all. I tested the ones I pulled out of both builds and they where fine. Next update will probably be the finished vero build....75% there but I lost motivation to work on these and have moved on to a...

    SOLVED Crystal drive massive buzz.

I just got a $20 "humpucker" off ebay because I started tonhate the P90s in my baritone. Wired up a coil split....tesi switch....makes a useless but fun guitar, lol.

    SOLVED Crystal drive massive buzz.

Both boards have issues but not exactly the same. The same components and build but different issues. The second build is just FUBAR so I'm just rebuilding it on vero.

    SOLVED Crystal drive massive buzz.

I don't have any real humbuckers....just a double lipstick bucker. But I have a bunch of different wiring in guitars and nothing changes the buzz.

    SOLVED Crystal drive massive buzz.

Well....when troubleshooting 95% of possible issues the board itself has to be brought into question....especially when you build 2 exact boards and neither works right. Fuck me! ....I guess....

Is this a "high gain fuzz circuit"? It should be a "distortion" at most and an "od" on average.
