I'd like to add trails bypass to an existing pcb (in this case the FV-1 Arachnid), without modifying the pcb itself. Would the concept depicted in the illustration work? The board output is buffered, that's why I only added a buffer to the input signal. If not, what would I need to change to...

Thanks, that's a good suggestion. For the L & R -> L option you would have to link the processed inputs to both outputs though, losing true stereo. But then again, that seems to be how most stereo pedals do it. I wonder if the linked inputs when using mono in would give any issues in true...
