15v Diode?

Heyo,

Diode 5 on the Simulcast build doc states only "15v". First, is there a specific name code for that voltage? I have a whole box of diodes but I'm not sure if any are 15v. Second, is there a simple method to check the ones I have with only my DMM? Thanks!

That's a 15V zener diode. 1N4744 would be a good candidate.

You can't measure the reverse voltage drop of a zener diode with a DMM alone (unless it has a zener diode function, which is quite rare)...

You can do it with a DMM, a resistor, and a DC power supply with an output voltage that is higher than the zener voltage of the diode.
