I was really keen on building an EQ pedal but I wanted to use slide pots with LEDs because I thought it would look cool. I ended up getting the Bourns PTL30-10O1-503B2 sliders but obviously there needed to be a few modifications as they wouldn't fit on the standard board. I did think about trying to re-design the whole slider board but thought there was more risk in messing it up than just doing a little adapter board thing. I still managed to make some mistakes including putting the solder points for the power on the back of the board rather than on an edge so I had to attach those directly to one of the slider legs. Although the extra adapter added a bit of height it just about fit (I used the Tayda drill template on the forum).
The rest of the build was straightforward and I really like how it turned out.
