I breadboarded Moritz Klein's 808 snare awhile back and thought it essential for my modular system.
I worked in stages to transfer it to a more durable setup as you see above, using two of @Robert's permanent breadboards.
I built it so that it could be affixed flat to a 3D printed case and made a kind of sandwich with spacers to join the two boards together.
Quite a complex, messy arrangement and the flimsy connecting leads to the pots occasionally wore loose, necessitating ongoing repair and double-checking that everything still functioned as intended.
I collected the enclosure yesterday.
Managed to get most of the measurements right but messed up the distance for the mounting holes by 2mm or so. It's ok because the enclosure cost very little and I can always ask them to make a new one with better spacing.
In any case, it works and sounds like an 808 snare, a sound I find very enjoyable and an essential element for analogue drum machine heaven.
