Here's a few builds that I finally got the cases for...
Parentheses Fuzz
I followed the build guide except I used some Russian D9K diodes and went with the rotary switch for the clipping options.
As for the case, I kept waffling on the art I wanted to use and decided to go with a white out look. Maybe cause I'm lazy or maybe cause I'm artistic, can't say.
Overall, it's a Life Pedal and it sounds like a Life Pedal. You know what you're gonna get with this one.
It was a fun build and a fun pedal but it isn't gonna sit on my board, but it is a blast to mess with.
Chaos Machine
Another EQD pedal, I swear I'm not an EQD fan boy, but I was looking for something to build and its a weird filter and modulation pedal... So, naturally, I had to build it.
I decided to not wire up the expression pedals right now but left enough wire to do it when I get some suitable jacks or break down and buy an expression pedal...
Again, by the book build, nothing out of the ordinary but a fun pedal with the dual filters that sweep in opposite directions. Again, probably won't sit on my board permanently.
The artwork is from Final Fantasy V and an airship just seemed appropriate for a chaos machine. I really liked the artwork so I went with clear knobs so you can admire it.
Crystal Sword
A PCB Mania board I had sitting around. It's obviously copied from DeadEnd FX and somehow the control layout is worse... However, it's got two of my favorite effects: an octave fuzz and a phaser.
Again, a fairly straightforward build the only real problem was finding a decent transformer to use. I had a ton of different ones but not the one they called for... I used a slightly hotter winding that I think gives a bit more octave sound... but I can't say for sure. Either way, I'm continuing with the multi-effects pedals and it too was fun if you enjoy phasers and fuzz.
Again, the art work is another Final Fantasy V water color art piece since Crystal Sword made me think of Final Fantasy and hence, the dragon. Cause dragons are cool.
War Scythe
Man, I must really love EQD cause here are three in one. I used a low gain Russian transistor for the Ungula and overall I think I really like this more than the Parentheses Fuzz. The artwork was chosen by my daughter cause she said a pedal called War Scythe needed a bad ass reaper with a big scythe -- so Mr. Google found us an image that was 12 year old girl approved.
And a group shot of the three pedals with artwork...
