THE SOUND
Between the brain knobs I got with my Moon Order and @Feral Feline referencing this very scene, it was destiny. That and the fact that Young Frankenstein is a beloved favorite in my family (I literally sculpted a clay bust of Marty Feldman's Igor in high school). Indeed, this one-knob banger just reacts to your playing by adding all manner of glitchy harmonic artifacts, intervals and arpeggiations, so who wouldn't want Marty's immortal mug adorning it along with the Abby Normal brain itself?

THE BUILD
Nils' teeny tiny board naturally required few parts, which made that end of things quite easy, and a 9mm pot only aided further. Nonetheless, cramming everything in a 1590A is a dark art on par with Froderick Fronkensteen's resurrection science itself. I am far from competent at it, and gave myself a break in my LED omission. To put it mildly, you'll absolutely know when this pedal is on.

THE PEDAL
Photopea/Maco transparency paper/white oil pen on the underside/Rustoleum clear gloss enamel netted a pleasant result. Nils' 3D-printed brain knob needed a twist or two of a drill bit to make it fit the pot shaft just enough, and I love it. Am considering eventually painting it white and the hitting it with a black ink wash to fully keep things in line with the movie's aesthetics.

BLUCHER! 🐴

Love your build, so much so, that... whelp, I'm just going to blatantly rip off your entire idea.

Maybe.

Probably.

There is one thing ...

I literally sculpted a clay bust of Marty Feldman's Igor in high school

As per internet-forum rules...

NO PIC, NO CLAY BUST.

We need photographic proof, I mean, by golly that sure sounds swell and would love to see that bust.

Have you watched the bio-doc about Feldman? Quite good, I thought.

Oh, and modding the brain for B&W will be the icing on the cake.
I need/want to do more 1590A builds, but am still traumatised from my Rat w/mods build — so mega-congrats on such a stellar 1590A build.

Indeed ... BLUCHER!
