Abider build and my first attempt doing anything with SMD soldering.
I learned some things! I definitely have room to improve on technique (not surprising), as the first J201 I tried (and pictured below) probably needs to be re-centered, as I don't think it's got a solid connection. It also doesn't fit in these sockets if you use these right angle pins, so that may have been an issue with the first one i tried. 2nd one I just used resistor legs, and I put some electrical tape over it because I'm paranoid.
I also used a 470n box cap instead of the .47u (or 470n) electrolytic cap as mentioned in another build, and that worked totally fine.
You can't see it in the pictures, but I did use a ribbon cable for the connection to the 3pdt board, and I tried out a power connector, which was a bit of an adventure deciding how to best get that oriented. Props to the other threads where these connectors were shown.
