Adding LFO LED to the XC Phase?

Hi all,

I'm looking to add a LFO LED to the XC Phase. Would this be possible? I wanted to do an bright white or UV LED. My sister-in-law painted this enclosure for me. It would be a shame not to have Navi glowing with the rate...

Resurrecting this old thread because I was curious of this myself. I found this thread https://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=110664.0 and it has this neat pic that I believe has been verified.
Phase 90 LFO LED.gif

This appears to be the spot on the PPCB XC Phase going inbetween the negative of C8 and pin 6 of IC3

I could totally be wrong, but would anyone care to double check me? I'm going to be building one soon so I can try then.

this method will work but it's taking the square wave output of the op amp so the LED will only blink in time with the rate, it will not swell or throb or ramp the way the LFO's triangle wave output does

I uploaded the schematic to ChatGPT and it mentioned that option or adding a buffer to it to not affect the LFO. Not sure if that's needed or not but I didn't think about breadboarding that portion. I'll try both and report back.

i posted about a circuit that will work and will throb with the LFO shape and not just blink, on this thread. chuck replied that if he had to add a second op amp anyway then he'd just build a CE-2 style 2-op-amp triangle wave LFO which can drive an LED just as-is. if you don't want to build a completely different LFO but rather just add a little bit to the existing one, try out what i posted.
there might be a better way to deal with the bias voltage that i was playing around with but i haven't quite figured it out yet.

I ended up building it with a buffer just to error on the safe side. I couldn't figure out how to make it gradually pulse so it just goes hard on/off but I'm happy with it.
