Advice on Baby’s First Breadboard?

It was the JHS Short Circuit that first got me into breadboarding—I really like the format and how he explains things.

I also have the Wampler class and went through the super basic sections, like what a resistor is. You have to skip past those to get to the actual breadboarding. I got a bit sidetracked with life and PPCB projects, so I need to revisit it. It’s always on sale, but right now, it’s 40% off. I bought it with a 25% discount and still think it’s worth it, especially after previewing the IC sections later in the course.

Is that $179 price on the website after the 40% discount, or do I need other look elsewhere to get a code for that deal? (You mentioned getting it at 25% off and I see a pop-up that says I can get 25% off by signing up for texts, which leads me ot believe that the $179 is "rack rate" and there are other hoops to jump through to get a discount - but I could be wrong).

Thanks

EDIT - I found the 40% discount through one of Brian's Facebook posts, bringing the $179 down to $107. Here's the link that activates the discount if anyone wants.

For a long time I LOVED breadboards, despite the inconsistent nature and quirks.

One of the greatest parts about locking down multiple designs was never having to use one again.

Wish you the best.

My one suggestion would be to make sure your prototype parts stock has thicker leads and invest in a way to be able to attach pots on headers.

Thanks – with respect to the pots, I kind of came up with my own solution which I detailed here in this thread. That will still be useful for things like testing builds but I’ve since purchased a Protoboard (which uses a somewhat similar system for pots) for breadboarding and I just need to get around to assembling it.
