My benchmark MIAB was, is and shall always be the OG DLS from Catalinbread. Or so I thought. Until @Guardians of the analog posted about this pedal, the Tachyon from AionFX, I had never really paid much attention to the Boss SD-2.
Oops.
This. Thing. Rips. I can’t describe it any better than that. New benchmark established.
I built it per the BOM but decided to use surface mounts ICs and transistors. I had to diy one mlcc and my old stash of chiclets saved the day thanks to my inability to move a fucking decimal point last time I ordered film caps.
Anyway, smooth build, fired up on the first try. Highly recommend it, though I do really hope @Robert will release his own version of the SD-2 Lead because his layouts help me relax.
