I finally got around to finishing up my Quadratron. I have had the box for a while and honestly just forgot about it. I spotted it out of the corner of my eye the other day and decided to finish it up. First let me say I usually love all lovetone circuits. It’s rare that I don’t like it. This one did not disappoint. So I always test the circuit once built with my tone gen. Most of the time it sounds like shit but that’s not the purpose. I am just looking for function. Not only did this work but I could get some pretty cool sounds running it with the tone gen. I knew it was going to be special. It’s not a particularly hard build (should not be your first few though) it just has a lot of parts and you need to pay attention to details. It’s nice not having to bias anything it’s just plug and play. I haven’t messed with all the switches yet but so far it’s been a lot of fun. A lot of swirly phaser fun. While I don’t know that it will replace my phr-1 it was a fun build that I will certainly enjoy playing with. My drill template is in the tayda template area if you need it. I did have to use a Lumburg jack for the output to make it fit. I am pretty sure it’s because I use the stompboxparts jacks not the neutriks though. I think they are a little bigger hence the tight fit.
