I built the Sunstone (Small Stone) from Aion Fx and everything works except if it's the only pedal in the chain (or there are only true Bypass pedals in front of it) the sound is really dark. If I put a buffer in front of it then the pedal sounds as it should. I had previously built the Lectric FX SH2 and it doesn't have the same problem. The schematics are almost identical other than the addition of an RPD and what i guess is the power section?
Has anyone else built this pedal and had the same issue? It's not a huge issue since I'd almost always have it placed after a tuner. I think the build and parts are fine. I'm just more curious than anything else.
