Aleph Null Peacock

Heres the other one, I got from @Aleph Null - the Peacock, a parallel fuzz that features a tweaked Percolator, that brings the mids and the other channel is a Fuzz Face with a Muff style mid scooped tilt EQ.

Parallel fuzz is a great thing to start with and this pair is well voiced to sing together. Aleph Null was kind enough to point me torwards some caps on the Perc side to add more meat to the tone, so I put some sockets in there to start with.

Whenever I was finsished I thought "lets here the stock values" and they sounded great. I then started to try some different values here and there, but I couldn't decide what combination of values my favourite is ... so I used a dip switch on vero to have choices. Not pretty, but pfffff
For now, I left stock values in the sockets and can add one cap for "more bass", one cap for "a notch more fuzz" and one for "shift the mids down a bit". The whole dip switch thing is tied to the caps in the sockets, so I can easily pull the whole mess, and solder caps in, if I might end up with one favourite setting after a while.

For graphics I actually started out with peacock stuff, but damn those birds seem to be real hipster snobs, I just didn't like them and while staring into one of those snobby faces the Roadrunner ran thorugh my mind and the rest is history.

These two are cool and as parallel as it gets.

I'd love to know what values you end up with. DIP switches are a clever idea, I probably would have just put in sockets and taped alternate values to the lid or something.

Yeah, after putting in an out a some caps I had a few options/combinations I liked and then had the idea of the dip switches.
Currently, as stated, it is stock caps with all the dip switches off, then I can add 100nF on C13, add 270pf on C4 and add 100n to C9.

I also tried different tranistors in Q1 (CV7751, MP114 and KF517), the KF517 was also nice, but I in the end, I went back to the 3906.

The schematic is here.
Cheers Fuzzonaut, but... I've got that schematic, no refdes on it.

No worries, I'll match up the PCB's refdes to the schematic when I build mine.
I was just being lazy; thought there might be a schem with refdes floating in the ethers.

Again, thanks for sharing your mods!
