SOLVED Aloysius Fuzz Gating Too Hard

Just Finished the Aloysius Fuzz (zvex mastotron). The pedal fires up and all the knobs and switches are working except the pedal is gating way too hard.

I need to have the Mood knob and the pulse/width knob turned up all the way
Or the pedal will not pass any of my guitar signal. The Subs switch seems to be working fine as well and the volume, tone, and fuzz.

I used the PN2222A transistors instead of the 2N2222A as that was what was available to me. I checked the pin out on them first and I believe that they have been installed correctly. I socketed them first tho just in case.

Im really not sure why it is gating the pedal so hard. I have used a real Mastotron many time s and I know that this is not sounding correct.

I have attached some photos below. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, i did check a website that said that the emitter is on the side that i used but I will try flipping them and see if that works. Thanks

Oftentimes, yes.

Flip em around and you should be good to go.
