Alternatives for ic in pitch witch project

Hello! This project calls for an L78L05 ic. I was wondering if I could replace it with a
L78L05CZ and other such varitaions with no problems. Do the letters that differ between these variations drastically affect the ics performance in this project? I can't find a place that sells an L78L05 without letters behind it. Thanks in advance.

Those are generally manufacturers suffixes that don’t mean much. As long as it says 78L05 somewhere you’re fine.
