Anyone familiar with the Suhr Hombre?

As I mentioned in a recent thread I was really impressed with a Suhr Hombre recently. So much so that I've ordered parts to build myself another 6G3 Deluxe.

Does anyone know if Suhr has used any tricks to get his to sound so good? Is it simply a well built brown Deluxe?

It’s been awhile since I watched this video but, I’m pretty sure Lyle breaks down some of the differences between the Suhr and OG Fender. Either way, it’s pretty informative.

Thanks! I found that after I posted - I like his videos. It's interesting that Suhr uses 22µF filter caps because (I guess like many others) I do that too. So it sounds like it's a fairly faithful rendition... It's just a question of whether he has tweaked the transformer spec.
