Anyone know of a simpler way to incorporate my mixer/Lexicon MX200 rack unit into my pedalboard/amp setup?

Not sure if this is the appropriate forum to ask this, but everyone here seems pretty damn knowledgeable and I've gotten way more and better help on the PedalPCB forums than anywhere else.

I'm pretty clueless when it comes to rack units. I've got a few pieces but the only one I really care to try and use is a Lexicon MX200 multi effects unit. I'm trying to find out the ways to get an easily switchable full pedalboard to DI mixer tone. Hopefully I'll explain this well enough to make sense.

This would be strictly for a home setup only, no gigging or anything.

I've long wondered how Gilmour managed to get such a pristine and spanky clean tone on the opening of Coming Back to Life (timestamped), and the intro of Eric Johnson's Emerald Eyes . Tried everything with different combinations of the exact same pedals they use, variety of amps, etc. Then I tried going directly from my pedalboard stereo out into my small Peavey mixer with the Lexicon MX200 in the mixer's effects send/return. It nailed it; the most contributing factors being the DI compressed guitar signal into the mixer and the Lexicon unit's stereo reverb and delay. I have two Alesis monitors that I running the mixer's L/R outputs to for this. Definitely the recording method used for these tones on the studio albums (live versions are noticeably different in tone because they're playing through amps live).

So is there a way I can streamline this DI/mixer/rack effect/monitor speaker setup along with my pedalboard and stereo amps?

Here is what I'm using: (all powered by a rack Furman power conditioner)

Pedalboard & Amps
Various pedals, with stereo chorus, delay, and reverb pedals ->
Furman SPB-8 Pedalboard (this has a small patch bay as seen in the linked photo) ->
Stereo pedal outputs to a combination of Marshall Origin 50C, Vox AC15, Fender Deluxe, and/or Roland JC22 (the Marshall has a series effects loop; JC22 has a switchable series/parallel effects loop; Fender Deluxe has no loop; AC15 has no loop)

DI Clean Tone
Pedalboard as above -> stereo output ->
Channels 1 & 2 on Peavey PV8 Mixer ->
Lexicon MX200 Rack Unit for delay/reverb to send/stereo return jacks on mixer ->
Mixer outs to two Alesis monitors, or headphones

Misc
Two Notes Captor X (Load Box and Attenuator; this has L/R direct out XLR, in case anyone knows of a way it can ease my situation)

I'm pretty much trying to streamline this as much as possible.

1) Does anyone know of some clever piece of gear like a switcher or A/B-Y of sorts that will allow me to have all of the above turned on, and easily switch from my pedalboard/stereo amp effects straight to the DI/Mixer with rack unit through speakers sound? I'm hoping theres some piece of stereo gear I can put at the end of my pedalboard to switch from outputting to the amps or to the mixer.

2) I wouldn't be able to just somehow run the mixer/lexicon into my amps and get that same ultra clean and pristine sound through the amp right?

3) Anyone know of a smaller, more compact mixer that I can use in place of the PV8 mixer that will work in this scenario? I think I only need the two channels and send/stereo return jacks

4) Am I overlooking anything that has to do with parallel routing of my effects, as opposed to serial?

5) Any other suggestions or oversights that I'm missing out on would be great

Hopefully this makes sense.

Thanks a lot.

howdy,

I think I understand your goal....if not, my apologies.

I came across this. They seem to have quite a variety of utility boxes and switchers. You may find the need for phase inverting / buffing, but if it works when manually moving cables around it should work though the switch.
