Hi all,
I built the Awful Waffle and have this high frequency whine that is interactive with the drive knob (frequency goes down as the drive goes up). The effect is fine when bypassed and all the pots seem to be performing correctly aside from the whine.
Opamp is a LM741CN with voltages (pins 1-4) of 0, 2.1, 1.9, 0 and (pins 5-8) 0, 2.1, 3.9, 0. Is the CN compatible with a regular LM741 or UA741? I tried another opamp from the same batch but with the same result .....and don't have a TL071 handy to try.
I measured all the caps during assembly and remeasured the electrolytics (especially C2) after operating the pedal.
Upon using an audio probe, everything sounds fine up to pin 3 with the oscillation first being noticed at pin 2.

The photo with the enclosure wasn't good so I added a few more once removed from the enclosure. Any help would be much appreciated!
