So I tried making a second Hot Cake PCB, and I'm having the exact same issue as the first board. I saw the LED light up when I plugged in my 9v adapter for about a split second and then nothing after that. I plugged a guitar in to check for life, and it sounded like a OD pedal but the volume was extremely low even with all three knobs dimed. I was guessing that maybe I was using wrong zener, but would that even affect the LED? I successfully completed a Danae and a Corduroy among others with zero issues, so I'm perplexed why I can't get this simple circuit working (twice).
