B-Side Fuzz

Hi guys

Just finished a B-side Fuzz (demo tape fuzz).

It sounds good but there is an unbelievable amount of volume on tap and all of the fuzz is at the last quarter turn of the trim control.

Is this normal for this pedal?

I'm sure I triple checked but I'm wondering if I may have transposed the volume pot (B100k) and the Trim pot (B25K) or if these symptoms would suggest the exact opposite!

That could just be how the pedal was designed. There is a single gain stage and active baxandall controls, so there really isn't volume to be lost in this circuit.

If you need more control over the volume, try changing the pot to A100k instead of a B taper

Try switching out the fuzz pot for 10k, possibly even 5k.

Thanks.

There's another thread here where someone also mentions the excessive volume so hope that's just a quirk!

I'll have another play with it tomorrow when I can make more noise. TBH I'm not sure I liked the sounds enough to bother tweaking it!

Not trying to resurrect but BuddytheReow's suggestion helped me. I used a100k for Vol and b10k for Trim. The volume is still astoundingly loud and only useable the 1st quarter turn of the pot. It's less abrupt than with the b100k.
