Best Parallel Preamp Pedal Pal for Son of Ben

Hey !

Help a homie out - I'm building a preamp and I had this idea to build a box where an Aft preamp booster feeds into a son of Ben in parallel with... I dunno ?

If anyone's got some suggestions or advice that isn't up in the poll drop it in the comments. I'm super open to ideas on this one !

Side note: As far as hooking all this up goes, I've heard about a cct on here called the Paralyzer from JMK, sounds like exactly what I'm looking for to blend the Son of Ben with whatever else ends up in there. Does anyone have any experience with this cct or building parallel dirt pathways inside the same box?

JMK is currently restocking the Paralyzer, so you'll have to wait. OR you can try building my perf layout of it (untested), which you'll find in Danbieranowski's Promethium thread.

Parallel wise, nothing wrong with the choices in your poll, but I'd consider the Hudson, or FA-1 and some additional EQ — but that's just me and it'd be for bass. I'd HPF one and LPF the other...

That's rad, if they take forever to re-stock I might end up doing that according to your layout. I'm working this up for my guitar rig, got inspired from the Pedal Zone's video where he hooked a Hoof Fuzz and a OBNE Fault up in parallel with the OBNE blender. The sound was masssssive and super unique so I got interested in building a parallel dirt box based on the Son of Ben.

I'm leaning more towards a muff-style fuzz right now, but the actual Benson Preamp can get pretty fuzzy when you dime the gain, so I thought maybe an OD might pair better with it.

I'm sure a Muff will sound great paralleled with a Son of Ben, hell any of the circs from the list would. Difficult decision. Maybe build the parallel as a loop first, audition a few...
