Hey all, with 15% off PCBs at the moment it makes it worth me dropping an order to the UK.

I’ve been after this one for a while.

Can anyone tell me the difference of having or omitting the LEDs ?

Also, I have heard that you can substitute the GL5516 and LED with a NSL-32 Vactrol. What do you guys think ????

(despite some people's distaste for them).

If you then find you like the circuit both with and without the LEDs, throw 'm on a switch and have both options.
Similarly, if you found a radical difference in response between discreet LDR&LED and the Vactrol, you could put those on a 4PDT on-on.

I'm betting there's not enough of a difference to warrant such extreme switching measures.


Socket the stuff, decide what you like, then make it permanent.
