Bread to perf, gremlins

Last night I tried to go from working bread board to working perf build. At 3:00am I walked away. 99% sure I know what the issues are. Going to give it another go tonight. Man, PCBs are worth every god damn penny.. Not sure the frustration and all the routing planing time is worth it on these perf builds. Could have completed five builds in the time I already have tied up in this one experiment.

Check your wiring and your parts. One missing connection, one piece out of place is all it takes. Sure PCBs are easier to assemble, but perf and Vero let you color way outside the lines.

Well that was a quick fix but still puzzling. I had power tracing everywhere, but for some reason by running a second power wire from the dc jack to the + led it worked. Even though the led was already wired to the board. Only works when led is wired to the board’s + power line and directly to the dc +. Very strange but glad it was something simple. Still going to stick to PCBs going forward... unless I come up with some amazing breadboard experiment.
