Breakstreet DB-2 mods?

Breakstreet is a Sobbat DB-1 circuit:

Compare to Sobbat Drive Breaker DB-1

Anyone know the difference between DB-1 and DB-2? According to Sobbat, DB-2 is lower gain and a little rougher.

I'm curious if they're close enough that you could build the Breakstreet and add a toggle for "DB-2 mode."

I wasn't able to find any DB-2 schematics in a quick search, but thought someone in this group might have an idea.

If you want less gain try using red or orange LEDs in place of the 4148s. While you have them out try it without diodes too.

Good call. I always socket diodes, just in case, but an on-off-on switch could be interesting for trying different configurations.
