British Royalty with treble boost

I just did a British Royalty Overdrive and added an perfboard of a mid 60’s Vox treble boost schematic at the beginning. I wired it with two foot switches. I bread boarded the circuit beforehand and liked what I heard. When I boxed it all up, the treble boost section worked fine, but the overdrive section was low volume. I fooledaround with it some I took the trouble boost out of the mix, and the overdrive was working fine. I was over on Brian Wampler‘s guitar pedal course forums asking about this and someone suggested that there could be a grounding problem between the treble boost and the overdrive. I used the wiring schematic from your website for dual petals. I cut the wire from the negative terminal on the jack to the ground rail on the treble boost Perf board and the volume went up considerably. I took a probe and see what would happen if I bridged the ground from the center pole of the treble boost foot switch to the ground of the overdrive foot switch and the ground and the negative eyelets of the overdrive board. Nothing happened. The pedal is working fine now I don’t know if there still is an issue with the overdrive section’s volume. Right now it’s OK. I’m considering this box done unless there is something easy I can do. I do have another PCB that I’m going to throw into a larger enclosure because I crammed all this into a 125 enclosure. I’m just wondering if what I did was OK by cutting the wire (the blue one in the picture. Should I just bridge the grounds between the two foot switches?
