today on Will It Chug? we have the Brown Betty.
prior to last night i had never played one of these Friedman distortion pedals.
seems to be pretty a popular and successful range of pedals, so surely there has to be something they’re doing right?
grabbed the board last year and then an unexpected commission request got this one sent up the que.
demo. with and without an OD808 boosting.
actually pretty impressed with how this circuit sounds. takes a drive/boost really well and also holds its own quite well.
depending on the clean channel it’s going into, i’m not sure if the ‘mid control mod’ is necessary.
i reckon i might have to give the thermionic distortion a go, 6 knobs would be a lot tidier than 7, and it’s probably just as good.
