BUFFER BUSTER & PICKUP SIM Info [Please add your own souvenirs, novelties, party tricks...]

I've always been interested in buffer-busting aka pickup sims, been meaning to build one for eons, collecting info along the way...

Recently inspired by MichaelW's recent build report on one, I started cobbling together what I wanted to include in my own and then BuddytheReow's half-broken humbucker seemed like a good candidate for a Pickup Sim Pedal and the next thing I knew I had too much info to respond to in his thread, and here we are — a repository for all things Simming pups and bustin' buffers...

My needs/wants/druthers are to have a misbehavin' buffer-hatin' pedal get isolated in its own chill-the-fudgsicle-out corner of my board, but with one (1) stomp to activate both the buffer-buster and problematic-pedal(s) at the same time — so a looper-switcher dealio will do nicely.

Is there a schematic for that floating around?
MAS EFFECTS has a schematic buried in this build doc:

You should be able to reverse engineer one from MW's gutshot in his thread:

Euna, there's many ways to skin a buffer...
Sometimes instead of Buffer Buster they're called pickup-simulators, but it's not a sim if you're using a real pickup!

You can suss it out from this Aion project:

This is the one MW built, I think:

TRANSFORMER
22nF
TONE A500k
VOL C500k (or 250k)

Of course, there are schematics here:

I've gotta re-read that Aquataur a few more times; I only skimmed over it and it's not sinking in just yet.

Yup, I need to re-read, review, re-thinker...

I like this approach instead of using a transformer, cool idea
I've got a lipstick pup that's been sitting idle in its box for a decade or more. I've thought of using it for this buffer-buster thing in the past but said to self "No, it should go in a guitar build..." — maybe NOT!

It's got legs, I could mount it OUTSIDE the enclosure, show it off and then hold a drill up to it ala Paul Gilbert, or a vibrator ala Mattias Eklundh...
