Okay - so...

Now that I have this (in case you haven't been down in the general chat sandbox):

MSJ - Steggo and Steggi.jpg

I want a good cab to go with it...

Right now it's running with my two-rock 2X12 cabinet and it sounds great - but that's for another project, and really isn't well-matched to this amp... and this amp deserves a well-matched speaker cabinet...

I'm thinking something like this: https://www.mojotone.com/Mojotone-Twin-Canyon-2X12-with-Celestion-V30-and-Mojo-BV30H

(Mojotone 2X12 with a V30 and BV30H)

Alternately I could go fully custom (would still probably get the cabinet from Mojotone and wire it up myself). If I went that route I'm leaning toward twin V30's... though there are other contenders:

Something like this ( https://www.mojotone.com/Lerxst-CHI-2x12-Extension-Cabinet ) (Lerxt Chi 2X12 with two greyhounds) is interesting because of the stereo / mono options... of course to really use that I'd need a second head... heh...

Anyway - could be a fun little project and I'm open to suggestions...

I think the lerxst might be a good option. Using what little google-fu I have, looks like original Silver Jubilee cabs ran gt-75s. The 2x12 closed with greyhounds would get you to that "correct" sound. I worry about v30s, but haven't played them myself, not mixing right with Marshalls -- spiky, sometimes harsh highs (from what I've read). G12H30 might work too.

If you want a 2x12, get the Marshall one for the Jubilee. Just avoid the temptation to go with one of their cheaper ones (you notice they have some that seem to be 2x more than the others… it’s not just the speakers- the cheaper ones are lower quality particle board )
You have options of the 2536 (horizontal 2x12) or the 2536a vertical slanted 2x12. Both use the G12 Vintage speaker, and sound wise, similar but the horizontal will have a little more low end, but the vertical slant version will put the sound to your ear better.

With this amp I'm definitely not going to skimp on the cabinet...

my friend at the guitar store with a jubilee combo had suggested something with at least one V30. Another friend with a pickup business suggested a V30 / G12H combo in a 2X12...

If you go for V30s, let me suggest getting a decent empty cabinet (or one you can sell the speakers out of), and any V30s, get from Mesa. Their V30 are custom made for them and are everything we like about V30 tonally, but the harsh ice pick overtone that they can have is gone
