SOLVED Cadmium Fuzz - Breadboarding Issue - No Output.

Bread Boarding Cadmium Fuzz before build.

Issue is no sound from output.

Trouble shooting check list:
Does Circuit Wiring Match Schematic [YES]
Component Values Match Schematic [YES]
All Components Test Good [YES]
Continuity Tests Good on all connections [YES]
All Ground connections test good [YES]

VCC: 8.90

Transistor Base Voltages:
Q1: 0.586
Q2: 0.578
Q3: 0.572

Looking on the Cadmium Fuzz Schematic I get sound just before C3, no sound after C3. If I remove the C3 cap from the circuit I then get sound through/after the cap. So, I'm guessing it must be something with the circuit causing the issue.

I don't have an oscilloscope, so I'm just testing the circuit by moving the "output".

Any Ideas from the community? Something I can try to help figure this out?

Thanks!

Have you double checked your transistor CBE orientation is correct to the schem? Have you tried adjusting emitter/collector resistor values for correct bias or tried completely different transistor?

Appreciate it! Excellent Advice.

I did start trying other transistors last night after posting this. Started swapping out transistors but gave up quickly. This circuit uses collector feedback for biasing, so I didn't even consider altering the bias voltage or even checking it. Changing R7 & R11 to 1K makes dramatic changes to Vc, nice. Good learning experience.

Problem solved; circuit is working now. How it was solved is a mystery. I built the circuit again from scratch this afternoon, for the third time, this time it worked. Obviously, I must have been missing something I did wrong that I did right this time.
