Can I use 2N5458 jfets instead of the J201 for a Chop Shop?

I find despite their diminutive size, yes, the MMBFJ201 stack well, but tweezers and a good magnifier help tremendously.
They're even easier to stack if pre-soldered to adapter boards.

Whether individual pieces or on adapter boards (even with pins attached), the MMBFJ201 will stack better than the TO-92 J201.

In fact, TO-92 J201 are a right PITA to stack.

I was just about to stack some, now, and put them away...

MMBFJ201 on adapters w: pins.jpeg

Just gotta alternate them and they'll stack right up.

On the other hand, those J201 TO-92...

Unstackable mess!

J201-48019 unstackable.jpeg I rest my case.

Header pins. Brilliant. I have a shedload of them I will never use, prefect use for them. So much better than using trimmed legs off capacitors.
