CCF 'Lectric Mama Flanger BOM txt - Final Update -Final Final this time!

Update:

My build did not work. After troubleshooting with Chuck I discovered I installed the Mosfet backwards.
This is EASY TO DO because there are two "flat sides" to that space. One flat side actually belongs to the resistor pad above the Mosfet and overlaps the Mosfet. Don't align it to this, the other side also has a flat side that denotes the correct orientation of the 2N7000.

Build report coming.....

One more tidbit to add here for those of you that have not done a lot of SMD soldering....(like me).

I learned something new today. When I got my TL072 SMD IC's I got them from Mouser and they are ST Micro brand.

The ones I got do NOT have a Pin #1 designator dot or an orientation dimple. (Even though the data sheet from ST Micro shows this in their drawings).

So being a visual learner type, I went and looked up my "Build Sensei" @fig's build and basically copied his orientation. But I still had a nagging feeling I may have soldered the 072's in the wrong way.

So @fig and @Chuck D. Bones set me straight. On these SMD chips there is an orientation "bevel". One side of the chip is more beveled than the other. It's darn hard to see. But it should look like this:

"There is a pin 1 designator on the SMD TL072s, but it is hard to spot. One of the sides of the chips is molded at an angle, that is the side with pins 1-4."

I have to wear 4x reading glasses when I solder *anything*. They make 6x reading glasses but they cause brain damage. I can't use anything stronger than 4 or you spend too much time bobbing your head trying to get the focus right.....

Man, I got mine up and running last night and it's super cool. I generally don't use flanger or chorus much but this is not going to get gifted out. I did the ED Flangelicious a while back just to feel like I had flange available if I needed it and it is fun but I think I might actually LIKE this pedal.

Don't tell anybody.

Nice! I have a flangelicious board that I need to build, but this one seems like the mama of all flangers— I’ve never tried an Electic Mistress style flanger, but as a huge fan of Flangers and of a lot of people who used the Electric Mistress, I’d definitely like to try this one.
I had a UV design for the Madbean electric mistress, but it was discontinued before I ordered one

Flangelicious is definitely worth the time/ cost but there's some tonal je ne sais pas with... what I think I'm going to call the "electric sidepiece," that I'm struggling to describe. My Flangelicious also has more of what i assume is clock noise but I don't know if that's something janky with mine or just the way the pedal is. It's tolerable unless using more extreme settings.

I have mostly used an EH mistress in the past. I also used the flanger on a korg ms60b for a little while for one song backing a hip hop act. Neither drew me in like the sidepiece.

@Mentaltossflycoon Mine has been semi operational for awhile now, but having used a DEFX pic chip for switching, there were some anomalies. That said, this is def NOT your dad’s/grandpa’s (depending on how old you are) flanger. I do love the waveform options, but does anybody else’s “thump” in the ramp settings?
I should have got the flangelicious board instead of the digidelay

I haven't noticed a thump yet but I've only scratched the surface of the available sounds. My other two are in limbo. Cowpoker has a bad bass pot (I hope) as the audio probe dies there. The mountain oyster fired up first time, sounds great, the pic turned the led on and off but I think the relay is dead because it doesn't bypass. We'll see if I can get it out without toasting the board. I've never had to pull one before.

I did end up getting some PICs from Fig after talking to Cooder and finding out he uses a slightly different algorithm than Codafx/DEFX. Now the relay stays latched, but there is def a delay from stomp to on/off. Are the ones you have first or second batch pics? I know Fig had some issues with the first round. I have a mountain oyster in process, just waiting on the NPN germs to arrive.
