A friend of mine brought this pedal to me to replace a defeat bypass footswitch, it's been unused since about three years.
At first glance, I thought it was a PastFX Chorus Ensemble Deluxe, but I noticed a few odd details: some slightly misaligned drill holes, and once I opened it up I found Chong electrolytic capacitors, at least two different pot brands (Alpha and Mammoth), some with dust covers and some without, although it does have Neutrik jacks.
The SMD ICs have been sanded, but there is a chip labeled MN3002. I never have inspected one closely, but it looks a bit unusual to me, extremely polished.
The pedal sounds good overall, and my friend, who used to own an original CE-1, says it’s quite close in tone.
Just after I searched for images of the PastFX online, I noticed that this one doesn’t have the brand logo.
I’ve attached some pictures.
