Change trim pot to external pot question

if I want to not put a 50k internal trim pot for the clean and instead use an external pot can someone tell me how I go from the three holes in the PCB to an external pot? Also for the external pot should it be a A50K or B50k?

Is it literally middle to middle right to right left to left. Nothing weird? Also would you do a A50K or a B50K?

Just look up potentiometer lug numbers and wire them according to the schematic. As for the pot taper, I'll let somebody else chime in on that since I'm not sure. Maybe @Big Monk since he loves pre gain controls on fuzz faces

I trust your call on this but I would have assumed log taper because it's similar to turning down a guitars volume knob - why's linear your go to?
