Chaos Machine -- Preemptive Ask

Hello all,

I've been assembling a Chaos Machine for a while now and I'm now to the point of finalizing it and, what I'm assuming will be, the long debug process. I wanted to go ahead and ask in advance if anyone has ever figured out the "ticking" problem with this circuit. It seems to be related to the expression pedal jack in some way and many people have complained that the audible ticking sound comes through on bypass. I've searched all the troubleshooting threads that use the phrase Chaos Machine, but can't seem to find a conclusive answer.

These are the jacks I will be using for the rate and expression:
And these will be used for the input and output:

Any help would be appreciated. If you see any problems, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Nice, I almost built it last year, but reading those threads made me weary about that ticking problem.
Maybe it's time to revisit that idea, especially since I'm a big Kid Koala fan and had the chance to play with the pedal at a Satellite Turntable Orchestra show.
Now we need a proper build report!
